We are motivated to study how human and wildlife interactions with polluted environments affect their health. We recognize that polluted environments are difficult to clean up - so we investigate the natural processes that our bodies use to protect us from toxins and toxicants. We believe that our own bodies can help us develop therapies that will protect humans, our pets, and wildlife from disease caused by toxin exposures.
